Step By Step To The Perfect Spring Style
The big thing for spring this season is Rock Revival Jeans. With great distressing and texture , this label is having a big impact for spring 2012. Several celebrities have been spotted rocking their distressed, textured and embellished styles both in Hollywood and out and about in New York . Those celebrity blog sites are great for checking recent pics of stars out shopping, or at the gas station, so we can really see what stars are wearing in their everyday lives , as opposed to when they’re on the red carpet in a designer gown and the best we could ever hope to afford is some look-alike knockoff.
What celebrities wear when they dress themselves , when they’re not being styled for a movie or event , really tells a lot about a brand’s quality . Since stars tend to shop higher quality brands, it’s interesting to me to see when they are choosing certain labels more than others, and I often do my shopping accordingly. If a celebrity favors a particular labellike Solemio; I will select something from that label that works with my body type and personal style . So I’m not out trying to exactly copy celebrities and buy the exact item I saw on whatever star-chaser site, but I am picking my styles based on the good brand reccomendation of my favorite stars .
Last week I was looking through DenimBlog.com and I saw loads of celebrities wearing Miss Me Jeans. They’ve got a sleek look that makes a great foundation to build an outfit on.
So how do we build the perfect spring outfit for everyday in the real world ?
1. Start with a great base
Begin your look with a good pair of jeans that fit perfectly. Trust me: cut and fit are far more important than the details of the jeans like embelishments and distressing . If your jeans don’t fit right, there’s simply no fix than can make that look beautiful. Whichever body type you’ve been blessed with , you WILL look good if you opt for clothing that fits appropriately – not too loose or too tight in any spots . Don’t rush when you’re picking a fit – take your time and try on several pairs of jeans in different cuts to find the shape that really fits your unique body just right. Grab multiple pairs in skinny, straight and boot cut , and spend time in the dressing room. choosing a small downtown shop where you can get personal attention from someone to help you select the right style is much better than being all alone at a big box store.
2. Choose your top to draw strategic interest
This is a very simple rule that every woman can understand : commonly, the thinnest part of your waist is that point right at the bottom of your ribs. When shopping for tops and blouses , opt for the ones that have structure built in, such as an empire waist or a gathered band at that point , which will draw the eye in the direction of that thinnest point of your waist and give you the illusion of a shapelier figure, regardless of what figure you have. Again, make your choices based on optimal fit – and go for simple – saturated colors and simple designs let you wear the clothes, rather than the clothes wearing you.
3. Choose simple accessories that make your look pop
Learn to live by the rule of three. Your shoes always count as one. Your purse or bag counts as two. After that, you get one more: one necklace, OR one bracelet , OR you can choose earrings. When you wear too many accessories , it makes an outfit too busy and cluttered . Keeping it simple with accessories that really work creates an overall look that is tasteful, stylish , and never overdone .
